Recipe Tomato Soup

Tomato soup is one of the most nutritious yet delicious dishes that you can easily and cheaply make at home. You can easily enrich it just by topping it with some chopped parsley. You can also add other spices such as basil, thyme, oregano, roasted peppers and garlic.





Indeed, tomato Soup is perfect for many occasions, whether it is the first course of a meal or just an evening snack time treat. It is not only a great way to sneak in some much needed nutrients but also one of the best remedies to fight off winter colds and coughs. For most tomato soup recipes, you can use either fresh tomatoes or canned whole tomatoes.

Instructions:


1. First of all, preheat a saucepan and melt 1/2 stick of butter. Add in 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour to make a roux.


2. Let it cook for about 5 minutes but make sure you don't brown it. Set aside.


3. Add in the tomatoes, tomato juice, chicken stock, chicken base, 1 stick of butter and sugar. Combine and mix well then let it simmer for 20 minutes.


5. Add in the whole milk and heavy cream then bring it to a light boil. Add pepper to taste.


6. Add in the roux slowly to your desired thickness. Be sure to stir welll.


7. Serve and enjoy!
